Yadira Pinilla brings more than 30 years of service to the Organization of American States, having worked under five different administrations. She currently oversees the Human Development, Scholarships, and Training portfolio within the Department of Human Development, Education, and Employment, and has been a proud member of OAS FCU since 1991.
With over 25 years of experience managing technical assistance projects, Yadira has overseen complex, large-scale budgets with a consistent focus on efficiency, accountability, and the responsible stewardship of institutional resources. Her work with a wide range of international donors has provided her with deep exposure to the financial and budgeting frameworks of the United Nations, the European Union, and other global partners that have contributed significant resources to the OAS.
Throughout her career, Yadira has distinguished herself by her collaborative approach and her commitment to strengthening financial and administrative processes, working closely with the financial and operational secretariats of the OAS to drive continuous improvement across the organization.
Her last two years as Chair of the Board of Directors of OAS FCU have further strengthened her understanding of the cooperative sector while sharpening her insight into the challenges and opportunities facing credit unions in an evolving global environment. Under her leadership, and in close collaboration with the Board of Directors, volunteers, and the CEO, OAS FCU has been strategically positioned for innovation, growth, and the development of new products and services.
