Lorena Sabrina Scala is a senior professional in public finance and development banking, with more than twenty years of experience in Latin America in international development finance and strategic programming. She currently serves as Principal Executive in the Corporate Vice Presidency for Strategic Programming at CAF – Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean.
Throughout her professional career, she has held senior-level positions in both international financial institutions and national governments, acquiring extensive experience in the design, negotiation, appraisal, and supervision of financing operations with multilateral development banks, including CAF, the World Bank, and the Inter-American Development Bank.
Her professional profile combines a strong understanding of development finance, public investment, and strategic credit management with a regional, long-term perspective focused on development impact.
She holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Colorado (United States) and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the National University of Rosario (Argentina). She has also completed postgraduate studies in public policy management. She complements her professional work with academic activities and publications related to development finance and public policy.
